The advanced options allow you to further tune the brightness of your screen, your monitor, or your Desktop.
Calibrate monitor brightness on system startup
Some laptop automatically reset screen brightness to its factory default level whenever it is powered on. Therefore, the brightness level of your choice, specified a prior with any software utility, would not be kept each time you log on Microsoft Windows. Therefore, you need to make the Adjust Laptop Brightness software load itself on Windows startup and set the brightness level of your preferences.
Always show the brightness slider on the center of screen
When you click the shining sun icon in the notification area on your taskbar, the brightness slider along with the main window appears, by default, just on top of the icon. However, you might want to make it appear on the center of your screen or your Desktop.
Fade the brightness slider after N seconds
The slider along with the main window automatically disappears after N seconds. Here N can be any value in the sequence 1, 2, 3, 4, ..., 960.
Reduce brightness Level to L after Q minutes of idle
Some laptop users request this feature to save battery. When system is idle for a long time, say Q minutes, you can make your screen brightness dim to Level L. Here Q = 1, 2, 3, 4, ..., 60000. L = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, ...
Turn off monitor after P minutes of system idle
You can turn of your screen or monitor to save battery and prolong the life of your screen back light. After you enable this option, and do not move your mouse or do not press any key on your keyboard, you will notice that your monitor is turned off in P minutes. P = 1, 2, 3, 4, ..., 10080.
